How to use captions on learninglounge videos and elearning content Advice on accessing captions for our videos.

If you would like captions for our videos, we recommend using Google Chrome internet browser and turning on Google Live Caption.

To turn on live captions in Google Chrome, you can do the following:

  • Open Chrome

  • Click the three dots in the top right corner

  • Select Settings

  • Scroll down and select Advanced

  • Scroll down and select Accessibility

  • Toggle Live Caption on

Live captions will automatically appear for any audio or video playing in Chrome.

You can also change your caption preferences, such as: Collapsing and expanding captions, Dragging and moving captions, and Changing the font size.

Live captions can help people who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, and can also help you focus on and remember information.

Although we've found live captions to work reliably, there is always the chance with complex electrical terminology that some words might be misquoted.

To use live captions in a language other than English, you can:

  • Select Add languages next to "Manage languages"

  • Select your preferred language next to "Preferred caption language"

Additional help with Google Live Captions can be found HERE.
